Visiting the many impressive museums in the Bay Area is an absolute must, but admission fees can really add up. Luckily most of them offer Free Monthly Museum Days. With a little planning, you can enjoy these culturally enriching experiences without breaking the bank. Some even offer free admission daily for residents of San Francisco. Here’s a list of some of our favorites, just to name a few…

SFMOMA free every first Thursday
Asian Art Museum free every first Sunday
Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) free every second Saturday
Contemporary Jewish Museum free every first Friday
San Francisco Botanical Garden free to SF residents and to everyone every second Tuesday.
